THE HISTORICAL 3TRE in MADONNA di CAMPIGLIO

Madonna di Campiglio wrote the history of the Ski World Cup

The name of 3Tre comes from the international edition of three races - downhill, special slalom and giant slalom - held for the first time in January 1950, on the slopes of Paganella, Folgaria and Bondone, in Trentino Region. This "triptych" reached Campiglio in 1957 and since 1967 the place has been a fixed appointment in the World Cup calendar. The 3Tre of Madonna di Campiglio thus becomes the oldest Alpine Skiing World Cup race in Italy and the slope Canalone Miramonti is known above all for being the stage of the spectacular special slalom. One of the most spectacular and challenging competitive ski slope in the world, it is the scene of victories of international champions in the history of skiing; among the most famous names are Ingemar Stenmark, Gustav Thoeni, Alberto Tomba, Bode Miller, Giorgio Rocca and Marcel Hirscher. The 3Tre is not just a competition, it is a party and an event that all of Madonna di Campiglio await every year with the same anxious joy, because every time it is capable of giving very strong emotions! But above all, every good skier who is in Campiglio can ski on this splendid slope: what a unique thrill to descend into the town, on the snow of the greatest ski champions, admiring the square of Madonna di Campiglio and the Brenta Dolomites. Watching the race… or skiing on 3-Tre are emotions you can't miss!
